German pay-TV broadcaster 13th Street has launched its high-definition simulcast service on the cable network of Unitymedia, Germany's second-largest cable operator.

The channel forms part of subscription package "Digital TV Highlights" and can be received when signing up for the HD option which costs €4 per month.
13th Street HD launched in July 2011 on the cable network of market leader Kabel Deutschland. By joining Unitymedia, the channel can now reach cable households in federal states North-Rhine Westphalia and Hessen.

13th Street HD offers a 1:1 simulcast of the standard-definition version of 13th Street in high resolution. The schedule comprises series and movies for the fans of thrill & crime with the largest part being in native HD.

The programmes are shown without commercial breaks and optionally with the original language soundtrack in addition to the dubbed German version.
