    'Pocoyo' expands in the US

    The expansion of Zinkia's animation TV series 'Pocoyo' in the US has taken a new momentum following the recent licensing agreements made by the Spanish company.
    Zinkia will over the next three years become content provider for LeapFrog the multimedia platform aimed at children which is gaining more acceptance among American parents and, moreover, will also be available in other countries like Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and France. Initially, it included the first two seasons of Pocoyo, and the short 25-minute 'Pocoyo and the Space Circus'.


    The company has also renewed for another five years the agreement remained for US distribution of DVDs of Pocoyo with nCircle Entertainment, who also acquired the rights to 'Let's Go Pocoyo', the third season of the series.
    The list of licensees of Pocoyo has also expanded after incorporating Buy Seasons, offered through the online sale of products and accessories related to the festive theme character.


    To Inigo Shepherd, CEO of Zinkia, 'these agreements confirm our expectations regarding the consolidation of Pocoyo in the United States, which we hope will be our biggest consumer market by the end of the year'.
