Estonia’s leading cable operator Starman has launched a DOCSIS 3.0-based internet access service offering download speeds of up to 100 Mbps.

It comes as part of a triple play package known as SuperKolmik that includes over 70 digital TV channels, among them Nat Geo HD. Although the new internet offer will initially be available in 95% of the capital, Tallinn, it will be rolled out to other parts of the country, including Tartu, next year.

The triple play package will at first cost EEK299 (€19) a month, before subsequently rising to EEK599.

Starman’s competitor Elion, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eesti Telekom, introduced a 100 Mbps offer only last month.
