Sky Deutschland remains in talks with Deutsche Telekom

Sky Deutschland remains in talks with Deutsche Telekom to forge a new agreement for the carriage of Sky channels on the German telco's IPTV service 'T-Home Entertain', according to Mark Williams, CEO of Sky Deutschland.

"We would like to cooperate again in the future with Telekom," said Mr. Williams, speaking to German newspaper the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. "The door has not been closed; we are still in discussions." Sky channels have been unavailable on the IPTV platform since last month, reportedly being pulled due to Deutsche Telekom's aggressive marketing campaign for its Bundesliga content, which competes with Sky's own offerings.

Deutsche Telekom recently reached 800,000 subscribers for its IPTV service 'T-Home Entertain', and is expecting to reach the 1mn customers mark by the end of this year, with a number of service enhancements planned to speed it on its way.
