Broadband Internet to cover Bulgaria by 2013

By 2013 broadband access to the Internet should cover 100% of Bulgaria’s territory, said Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Parvan Russinov at a forum on telecommunication High Technologies and priority infrastructure projects in Bulgaria. Broadband Internet access was bolded as a government priority. About 445 million euros would be necessary for the purpose but not all of the means would come from the state budget. Adequate investments from business circles would be stimulated to that end, Mr Russinov said.
