TRT launches tourism and documentary channel

Turkish public broadcaster TRT has launched a tourism and documentary channel to satisfy expectations of documentary enthusiasts and to promote Turkey’s cultural and natural heritage worldwide. The channel will reach audiences in Asia, Europe, and Africa through satellite, D-Smart channel 129 and Digiturk channel 90 and will soon reach out to the world over the Internet.

The TRT tourism and documentary channel is on air as of October 17 and broadcasts around the clock.

Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arinc, who is responsible for RTÜK and the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), said, “We are going to launch an Arabic channel, followed by a French and English channels as well as a TRT music channel in Ankara and Istanbul”.
