SeeSaw hires Vizeum for media planning

Arqiva has hired Vizeum to oversee all media planning and buying for its forthcoming video on demand platform SeeSaw.

Created from the technology developed for collapsed joint venture Project Kangaroo, SeeSaw will launch in "the coming months" and host a range of British, US and international programming.

After speaking to a "number of agencies" involved in the original Kangaroo media consultation, SeeSaw opted to appoint Vizeum without a formal pitch.

The company will now handle all media planning for the venture, as it currently does for companies such as Discovery Networks, Five and Twentieth Century Fox.

"Our key objective was to appoint an agency with a thorough grasp of the fast-evolving multi-platform landscape who could demonstrate insight and understanding into how viewers will consume content in the future," said SeeSaw head of brand marketing Maya Bhose.

"Vizeum has the perfect credentials and we are delighted they will be working with us in the lead up to launch and beyond."

Vizeum managing partner of planning Stuart Newman added: "We are delighted to be working with SeeSaw, helping to shape the future of TV online."
