UPC is to introduce a special offer in Romania, providing free internet access to subscribers who already take TV and fixed line telephony.
However, as ZF points out, the internet service it will provide in such instances will be at low speeds, allowing for basic usage such as load simple web pages, e-mail and instant messaging.
There will be a one-off fee of RON40 (€9.34) for accessing the new service, which will effectively be targeted at only the 140,500 customers (as of Q2 this year) who receive just TV and fixed line telephony.
