HBO has given the green light to a third season of psychiatry series In Treatment.
Production on the Emmy-winning half-hour drama will begin early next year, with the third campaign's premiere slated for later in 2010, according to Michael Lombardo, president, Programming Group and West Coast Operations, HBO.
Gabriel Byrne (Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner for best performance by an actor in a television series drama) will again star as Dr. Paul Weston; additional cast members will be announced as they are confirmed.
In Treatment is produced by HBO Entertainment in association with Leverage, Closest to the Hole Productions and Sheleg.
"In Treatment is synonymous with inspired writing and brilliant acting," said Lombardo in a statement. "This is the kind of show that could only flourish on HBO, and we're proud to bring it back."
