Arqiva's new video on demand platform SeeSaw has hired the Fallon agency to handle its advertising activity.

Created from the technology developed for collapsed joint venture Project Kangaroo, SeeSaw will launch in "the coming months" to host a range of British, US and international content.

Following a review of several agencies, SeeSaw opted for Fallon - the firm behind the drumming gorilla adverts for Cadbury - to create a through-the-line campaign to drive awareness of the new consumer brand.

"Pioneering technology aligned with great content will underpin the SeeSaw proposition, offering an exciting new way for consumers to enjoy their favourite programming," said SeeSaw head of brand marketing Maya Bhose.

"The marketing campaign will form a key element in driving awareness of the service and engaging customers with SeeSaw. We look forward to working with Fallon, who have demonstrated both creative inspiration and a broad understanding of the media landscape."

Fallon partner Magnus Djaba added: "SeeSaw is going to be an exciting part of the future of entertainment, so it is something we are delighted to be involved in."

SeeSaw also recently hired Vizeum to oversee all media planning and buying as it ramps up commercial activity ahead of the official launch.

Earlier in the month, the company posted on its official Twitter feed that planning is now under way for public beta testing of the new service, with further announcements to follow.
