Mobile TV is likely to take off in Poland in Q2 next year, according to Albert Kuzmicz, the president of NFI Magna Polonia.

In a wide-ranging interview with Wirtualne Media, he said that the service launched by NFI Magna Polonia’s subsidiary Info-TV-FM will be cheaper than others in Europe, probably costing around PLN10-20 (€2.3-4.6) a month to receive.

Around PLN100 million will be invested in the service – to date the figure is PLN20 million – and it should break even in 4-5 years.

The service is currently operating on a trial basis and will continue to do so until the end of the year.

It recently suffered a blow when UPC decided to pull out of the trial.
