JRTVC joins Euromed-news consortium
Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTVC) has joined the Euromed-news consortium which aims to inform people in the southern Mediterranean countries about the Euro-Med partnership and promote dialogue and mutual awareness between people living on both sides of the Mediterranean.
JRTVC spokeswoman Jihan Hayek said the project was designed to facilitate the coverage and broadcast of current Euro-Med affairs by southern broadcasters in accordance with their editorial freedom and publicize the goals, methods and results of the European Neighborhood Policy as well as promote cultural diversity and gender equality and organize training for journalists. She added that JRTVC had its share of the project, which was production of 36 news items, 6 magazines and two documentaries in addition to news exchange with member states.
The project brings together international organizations and public broadcasters JRTV in Jordan, Algeria’s EPTV, France Télévisions, LJB in Libya, ORTAS in Syria, SNRT in Morocco and TeleLiban in Lebanon.
