Streambox Opens Tokyo Office
November 17, 2009
Streambox is opening a new office in Tokyo and will commence business operations as Streambox Japan, the company announced Nov. 16.
Streambox's new facility aims to enable the company to concentrate sales efforts on new opportunities in the Japanese market for its IP video transport and acquisition platform, while providing support to customers.
Japan is far ahead of many other markets in terms of its adoption of HD technologies, but broadcasters are also looking for cost-effective solutions. Therefore, we believe the Japanese market is primed for Streambox products - such as our HD/SD software-based encoder that can transform a laptop into a powerful tool for live and file-based HD newsgathering over IP," said Bob Hildeman, chairman and CEO of Streambox, in a statement.
