Record high for Kabel Deutschland ARPUs

Reporting over the first nine months of 2009, German cable operator Kabel Deutschland KDG reports a record of 11.8 million ARPUs representing a growth of 585,000 units. Average monthly ARPU increased to EUR 11.8, up from EUR 10.92 the pevious year.

The total number of paying digital TV customerds went up 21,000 (2.5%) to 844,000 homes; 851,000 people now buy broadband access and 872,000 have cable telephony. A total of 967,200 home buy either or both of these cable services. About one third of all KDG customers buy one or more additional products.

During the first six months of the broken financial year 2009/2010 turnover rose 10% to EUR 735.5 million (compared with EUR 668.5 million). EBITDA went up 16.2% to EUR 321.9 million (up fron EUR 277.1). Net reult was EUR 4 million (up fro minus EUR 0.6).

KDG operates cable networks in 13 German federal states and supplies its services to approximately 9.1 million connected households
