Pepsi CEO Appointed to Lead DirecTV

DirecTV named Pepsi Co. CEO Michael White as its new president and CEO, replacing DirecTV interim CEO Larry Hunter effective Jan. 1, DirecTV announced Nov. 18.

White will retire from Pepsi at the end of the year and also joins DirecTV's board of directors.
Before joining Pepsi as vice president of planning in 1990, White previously held executive positions at Frito-Lay North America, Frito-Lay International, Avon Products, Bain & Co. and Arthur Andersen & Co.
