Net Cologne beefs up premium TV offer

The German regional cable network Net Cologne has launched an expanded offer of premium TV channels. A total of 26 new services will be marketed in five different packages on the citynet that serves Cologne.

The cabler now offers twelve different bouquets, categorised in S, M and L (small, medium and large). Small packages cost 2.95 a month, medium 5.95 and large between 9.95 and 14.95. An example of an S bouquet is MTV Music-Inn.

The Family bouquet offers 25 channels including History, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, National Geographic, Your Family Entertainment, Boomerang, Nick Junior, Cartoon Network and Animax.

The offer also includes ethnic bouquets, including an Italian bouquet for 2.95 and a Turkish package for 21.95.

Net Cologne also rents out cable tuners for its digital bouquets. A basic tuner costs 2.00 a month, while an HD receiver costs 5.00.
