The Female-targeted Foxlife channel will disappear from French cable and IPTV networks Orange TV, SFR, Free and Numericable at the end of this year.
US group Fox International Channels, that also runs Voyage, National Geographic and National Geographic HD in France, said the Foxlife subsidiary has never found its "economic balance".
Foxlife was originally launched in 2005 of CanalSat dish platform but stopped being carried through the platform in December 2007. Since then, the channel failed to achieved satisfying financial results.
But the US group also added it still has "large ambitions in France" and is developing new projects for 2010.
