Amstrad goes with IFS for BSkyB integration

The satellite TV set top box maker, Amstrad, has announced that it intends to use a brand new ERP system from IFS, which has been developed to improve employee collaboration.

IFS is a worldwide applications firm, and its applications will be used within the Amstrad organisation following the takeover of the firm by BSkyB, which have been using IFS since around 2006.

The implementation of this application will give both Amstrad and BSkyB a single platform from which they can work in order for the new internal systems to function more efficiently.

According to the MD of IFS, Paul Massy, the deal will mean that Amstrad will be able to experience a unified link with its parent company BSkyB, allowing both firms to work more efficiently.
