DTH Television Group, the operator of the Romanian DTH platform Boom TV, has secured the backing of the Israeli company Eurocom Networks & Technologies.
According to ZF, news of a loan, which was contracted in late October and the size of which is unknown, is contained in company records. It is likely to be used to fund DTH Television Group’s debts and operations.
The former amounted to €74 million last year, while net losses stood at €33.7 million, or double its revenues.
DTH Television Group, which is based in Israeli, faces strong competition from the operators of Romania’s four other DTH platforms, headed by RCS/RDS (Digi) and Romtelecom (Dolce).
It has been rumoured in Israel that Eurocom Networks & Technologies may be about to buy Boom TV.
