Nate Robinson won his second consecutive slam dunk competition as TNT recorded its second-best NBA All-Star Saturday night telecast from Dallas.
The event, which featured the New York Knicks guard becoming the first man to win the Sprite Slam Dunk crown for the third time, averaged a 3.1 national household rating and almost 5.5 million watchers, according to Nielsen data.
That made the 2010 showcase, which went one-on-one with NBC's coverage of the second night of the Winter Olympics from Vancouver, the second-best in the event's 25-year history, trailing only the 2009 All-Star Saturday night. Last year's event generated a 3.9 national rating, which translated into a record 6.55 million watchers.
NBA.com's extensive online coverage generated 6.8 million on-demand video streams, up 132% over last year, according to Turner Sports.
