    Re: Fausto + MultiCAS tutorial

Here's how to open up Viasat channels at Sirius 4.8E in softencrypted NDS(Videoguard) format using Fausto EMU + AZbox HD + MultiCAS:

    1. Insert by FTP files "CCcam.cfg" and "newcamd.cfg in Azbox folder /PLUGINS/OpenXCAS/MultiCAS.
(NOTE: Prior to insertion, edit each file in order to set IP address of your PC.
Where it reads N: 192.168.x.y enter IP address of your PC).
    2. Insert attached file "FaustoServers.cfg" in the sub-folder of your PC where Fausto is installed (C:\Program Files\Fausto\EMU\CardServer)
(NOTE: Before inserting the file, edit it in order to set IP address of your PC. Hence, where it reads N: 192.168.x.y enter IP address of your PC).
    3. Start Fausto by clicking on its icon at your desktop of PC.
    4. Select Tools > Emulator > Server > Manager, click on Load button and then on Start button.
    5. Select TAB Monitor, click on the folder icon with a green arrow to enter the following path to “KEYS.BIN” file (C:\Program Files\Fausto\Keys).
    6. Make a restart of MultiCAS.
    7. Enter the settings of MultiCAS: Plug-ins > OpenXCAS > Camd Setup > MultiCAS > Smartcard interface > Smart Card Splitter & CS.
    8. Press "Left" arrow button (next to OK) of your remote control to select "Client NewCamd”.
    9. Press “Blue” button of your remote control to "Load Configuration".
    10. Press “Red” button of your remote control to "Save".
    11. Press "Close" button of your remote control.
    12. Confirm "All login to server" with YES.
    13. Go to TV mode with the "Close" button of your remote control.
    14. Make (again!) restart of MultiCAS.
    15. Wait for MultiCAS to connect to Fausto Server (the screen should briefly read “Success 5/5”).
    16. Switch to one of the channels from the package (i.e. DR 1) and wait till it's decoded (complete list of all channels that can be watched this way is attached here below)

NOTE: no keys file needed to watch these Viasat channels

    Re: Fausto + MultiCAS tutorial

Hi I'm a noob to this so apologies if I get it wrong.
To use the SW I need a device called a
    Season interface?

I have a Dreamax box but guess I'll need a PC card for DVB-S to use the season interface.
I live in what I strongly feel is the extortion country of Australia that now charge you to watch free to air TV via satellite.

True there is one channel you can watch that is not encrypted however all the terrestrial free to air channels that are beamed via satellite that are still called free to air via satellite are all now encrypted and you have to pay to view them.

The charge may only be for a smart card, however the signal did not need to be encrypted thus I feel that it is by extortion they are demanding money for a free to air channels.

What do I need to be able to view free to air in Australia with out the extortion card?
Realizing the nature please PM me if you can assist.

Also may look later in getting C band dish etc.

    Thanks to all in advance.
