In Germany, Humax announced its iCord HD+ sets now connects to the Maxdome VOD service via the Humax TV Portal. Starting on Tuesday, August 17, owners of the set will have access to over 30,000 videos on the service.

The hybrid iCord HD+ receiver will be upgraded to show Maxdome on the Humax TV portal. After a free registration viewers will have direct access to the Top 100 maxdome titles, including HD videos. The selection is made simply by pressing a button on the Humax remote. In the near future, all maxdome content, some 0,000 titles, will be available via the Humax TV portal.

Just recently Maxdome introduced its own hybrid Maxdome Media Centre, with an option for DVB-C, DVB-T or DVB-S tuner.

Dr. Stefan Hoffman, Managing Director, maxdome, in a statement: “We are delighted to partner with the Humax set-top boxes.”

Simais Franz, CEO of Humax Germany, said: “The integration of maxdome in our TV portal makes it possible to enjoy the iCord HD + in three different ways. Viewers can watch TV first, live, and in the best HD quality, free to air or encrypted channels. Secondly, you can also enjoy recorded HDTV content flexibly, pause or resume. Maxdome now offers the additional option of a third, virtually unlimited choice of film footage on demand. Together with maxdome we have crowned our already unrivaled product. The audience will have a lot of fun with it.”
