BBC Scotland has agreed a deal to broadcast live coverage of all four away fixtures in Scotland's campaign to reach the Euro 2012 finals.

The corporation's first match will be Craig Levein's competitive debut as Scotland boss for the opening qualifier against Lithuania on September 3.

Live coverage from the Darius Girenas Stadium in Kaunas will be broadcast live on BBC One Scotland, starting at 7.15pm.

BBC Scotland will also air live coverage of Scotland's away game against the Czech Republic on October 8, along with the clash with Liechtenstein on October 8 next year, before rounding off with the team's tough trip to World Champions Spain on October 11.

Separately, BBC Scotland has also renewed its contract with the Scottish Football Association (SFA) to air live radio commentary of all Scotland's home internationals for the next four years, along with coverage of domestic Scottish Cup matches.

The radio contract follows a recent TV deal with the SFA to broadcast a minimum of five live Scottish Cup games (including the final) per season, along with highlights of all Scotland's home internationals.

BBC Scotland will also screen four live Co-operative Insurance Cup matches (including the final) for the next three years.

"We are delighted we will be able to show our audiences full live coverage of all the away games in the national team's campaign," said BBC Scotland head of sport Ewan Angus.

"Securing the rights for these vital fixtures together with the home international and domestic cup contracts underline our commitment to being a broadcaster of live football."
