Russian ad sales market takes shape

Commercials on the state owned All-Russia State Television and Radio Company (VGTRK) will be sold by a proprietary company named RTR-Media from the beginning of next year.
Kommersant reports that this follows a closed tender held by the company similar to recent ones by Channel One, TV Center and Mir.
The results of the tenders to date mean that the market share of Video International (VI), until now the leading ad sales company in Russia, will be reduced from 71% close to the maximum 35% permitted under amended legislation.
