    Heitinga open to Bayern move

    Toffees defender welcomes German interest

Everton defender Johnny Heitinga has admitted he would be interested in a move to Bayern Munich.
Bayern and Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg have both been linked with the Dutch international in recent weeks with a view to a move in the January transfer window.
Heitinga, who joined Everton from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2009, admits he is flattered by Bayern's interest and would jump at the chance to join the German champions.
"It's hard for me to say how serious the reported interest is at the moment," Heitinga told Voetbal International.
    Flattered

"I know that Bayern haven't approached Everton yet and they haven't contacted me either.
"I have to admit that I feel flattered that I'm being linked with a big club such as Bayern Munich though.
"I'd definitely be interested in joining them. They play Champions League football and I'm still eligible to play in the competition, since we don't play European football with Everton.
"Every footballer wants to reach the top and I'm already 27-years-old. So this could be the right moment.
"You never know what will happen, especially in the world of football."

    Hernandez - I'm going nowhere

Coveted striker wants to stay and develop at Palermo for now

Promising Palermo striker Abel Hernandez says he has no plans to leave the Serie A outfit in the near future.
The 20-year-old Uruguayan striker has been a reported target for Arsenal and Spurs, as well as attracting interest from a host of other European clubs.
But the powerful marksman, who signed for Palermo from homeland club Penarol in 2009, insists he is going nowhere.
The striker, who had to have a small operation to fix a cardiac arrhythmia soon after signing for Palermo, believes he will develop into a better player at the club.
    Believed

He told Mediaset Premium: "Arsenal want me? I'm very good at Palermo, both in the town and with my team-mates.
"I'd love to stay another two or three years here, because it would make me grow. Then in the future if there will be an offer by a great club, we'll see.
"My first experience I had in Italy during a trial with Genoa, they didn't take me for my heart problems, while Palermo believed in me and got me the surgery.
"For this also, I'll always thank the Rosanero club."

    Williams' Premier dream

Swansea defender targets top flight career

Swansea defender Ashley Williams admits it is his dream to play in the Premier League one day.
Williams, who captained Wales in their recent Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland, is regarded as one of the best talents outside England's top flight.
A number of clubs were linked with a move for his services during the summer transfer window, but Swansea managed to keep hold of the talented centre-back.
Williams, who was named Club Player of the Year in the Football Association of Wales annual awards recently, admits the speculation over his future is flattering and that he would love to try his luck in the Premier League in the future.
"Yeah, it is definitely flattering that other teams are interested in signing me," Williams told skysports.com.
""It is every player's dream to play in the Premier League and I would be lying if I said any different.
"I am still at Swansea and I am happy here and hopefully I can get to the Premier League with Swansea."

    Fabiano considers Sevilla exit

Striker hints at moving on in January

Luis Fabiano admits he will consider his future at Sevilla in January if he is not playing regularly.
The Brazil international has struggled for fitness and form since returning from the World Cup, with new Sevilla coach Gregorio Manzano preferring Fredi Kanoute and Alvaro Negredo in attack.
Fabiano has only started once and has made three substitute appearances in La Liga this season and has yet to score a goal.
The 29-year-old signed a new deal at the club in August after being linked with a move away from Sevilla.
However, Fabiano has revealed he could move on if his situation does not improve in the New Year and the news is sure to alert a number of interested clubs to the striker's possible availability.
    Tough period

"I'm going through a tough period, but it isn't the end of the world," Fabiano told the club's official website.
"I'm not thinking about leaving in January. I just want to play again.
"January is a long way away. I don't know what will happen... If things remained the same in January I would seek a solution.
"I want continuity. I don't want to play one game and spend the next on the bench.
"I don't understand something that isn't good for Sevilla. It isn't good for me either."
    Denial

Meanwhile, Fabiano's agent, Jose Fuentes, has denied talk that he has been in talks with interested suitors about a move for the former Porto hit-man.
"I have never said that I was having negotiations for making Luis Fabiano leave Sevilla," Fuentes told Punto Radio.
"It's not true that we are thinking in the winter market and nothing like that.
"He has renewed his contract until 2013 so it's stupid to think at this point that he is going to be transferred.
"These rumours make people think that we don't know how to represent our players and it's a negative rumour for Luis Fabiano.
"I am convinced that Luis is going to be a regular player for his team again.
"It's normal that he doesn't like to be on the bench, no player likes to be a substitute, they all like to play.
"He has to make an effort for not being on the bench, it depends on him.
"He doesn't have any problem with anyone. The coach has taken his decision and Luis accepts it, besides that maybe he doesn't agree with that decision."

    Atletico keen on Afellay

Madrid want winger while Inter have not shown interest

PSV Eindhoven winger Ibrahim Afellay has attracted firm interest from Atletico Madrid, according to his agent.
The Dutch international is out of contract with the Eredivisie table-toppers next year and has been linked with several clubs, including Madrid and Italian giants Inter Milan.
And while dismissing the Inter speculation, agent Robert Jansen insists the Spanish club are keen on securing 24-year-old Afellay's services.
"Atletico Madrid's interest is real and concrete," Jansen told calciomercato.it.
"While on the rumours about Inter Milan there is nothing true."
Despite the attention Afellay is receiving from other clubs, Jansen says the player has not ruled out extending his deal in Eindhoven.
Jansen added: "His contract expires in 2011 and we are talking with PSV about the renewal."

    Kaka rubbishes move talk

Brazilian focused on return to action

Real Madrid star Kaka has rejected reports linking him with a move away from the Spanish giants.
Kaka endured a disappointing debut season with Real last term following his switch from AC Milan.
Milan and city neighbours Inter Milan have been credited with an interest in bringing the Brazilian back to Serie A.
However, Kaka, who has yet to feature since undergoing knee surgery, insists he has no plans to leave El Santiago Bernabeu.
Speaking via his Twitter account, he said: "My declarations are coming out in some media that are not true.
"My concern at this time is solely and exclusively with my physical recovery."

    Messi dream for Zanetti

Inter skipper hopes to one day play with compatriot at club level

    Messi: Best in the world

Javier Zanetti has admitted he would love Lionel Messi to join Inter Milan but does not expect his compatriot to leave Barcelona.
Messi has made it clear that he is happy at Camp Nou and intends to stay for many years, but reports in Italy have suggested both Inter and AC Milan could make ambitious moves for the Argentina superstar.
Zanetti would like nothing more than to play with Messi at club level as well as internationally but recognises that in all likelihood the Barca man will not be going anywhere in the near future.
"Leo right now is fine at Barcelona. He is the best in the world and everyone wants him on their team," Zanetti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"For now he will stay at Barcelona, but in the future you never know.
"Are Inter his first alternative? I hope there is this possibility.
"I did not meet Leo when he came to Milan, I know he was here for an advertising contract. But I know he likes Milan."

    Jose rules out winter shopping

Real Madrid boss has faith in current squad

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has ruled out January signings - save for unusual circumstances.
The Spanish giants have been linked with players such as Fernando Llorente, Wayne Rooney and Gareth Bale.
But Mourinho, who took over at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, insists he has faith in the players currently at his disposal and will not be seeking new recruits, unless something "unusual" happens.
He told the club's official website: "It's normal there's talk of players. Madrid is Madrid and there's always talk of players.
"Mainly it's great players because if you talk of mediocre players, people won't believe it.
    Faith

"It seems normal to me, but as coach I have to say not only what I think but what the club thinks and that is that this is the squad until the end of the season. These are the players which we have faith in.
"Real Madrid have made the investment that they had to do in previous years and this summer.
"We don't have the perfect squad, because the perfect squad doesn't exist. We have an excellent squad with players who give me a lot of confidence and I don't want any players in the winter market.
"It seems premature to me and unrealistic when there is talk of signings in January when the coach, and surely the director general (Jorge Valdano) and the president (Florentino Perez), will say that the market now and in January for Real Madrid is closed if nothing unusual happens."

    Keane - New arrival close

Town boss reveals O'Dea injury blow
    Keane: Close to signing

Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane has admitted he is close to adding a player to his squad before the weekend clash with Coventry.
The Tractor Boys have made a good start to the Championship campaign and currently sit fifth in the table.
However, they have been dealt a blow with the news that defender Darren O'Dea will be out for six weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
On the potential arrival at Portman Road, Keane said: "I think you always have to be on the lookout when you hear about players that might be available.
"We've got a lot of games coming up, we're obviously still in the cup so we're always looking.
"We're in talks with a club and a player at the moment and we might have news on that tomorrow fingers crossed."
Asked if the proposed new arrival would make the squad for the Sky Blues clash, he added: "There's a good chance."
Celtic loanee O'Dea was forced out of the Leeds game last time out after sustaining an injury in the warm-up, and Keane reveals his loss is a blow.
He told the club's official website: "Darren saw the specialist and had the operation last week.
"It's obviously disappointing to lose him. Hopefully he will be back in about six weeks."
