Viaccess Selected to Protect the French Overseas Territory DTT via Satellite Offering

PARIS -VIACCESS, a France Telecom company and leader in conditional access and DRM systems has been selected to protect content of the free overseas DTT via satellite offering.

« France Télévisions/RFO » announced the launch of this free access to the satellite DTT and its free channel on November 30th.
After 3 years of deployment in France, residents of the French overseas territory have the opportunity to enjoy the digital TV offering.

This new service will enable access to the DTT free channels for all of the overseas territories, even the more distant ones.
Residents will initially receive between 8 and 10 channels, including 6 public channels.

To ensure the content protection of the overseas satellite DTT offer, “France Télévisions” has selected the recent generation of Viaccess’ security solution .
