Perú's pay-TV operator Cable Mágico has launched a satellite TV offering designed for low income subscribers.

The new offering consists of a DTH package to be made available in the first half of 2010 according to news source 'Tele Digital'. The package will contain 28 TV channels, costing $15 dollars with a pre-payment business model.

Cable Mágico is Perú's national pay-TV operator and is in competition with operators such as Mexico’s Telmex and North American DirecTV which has the largest presence in the Latin America pay-TV market.
