Two new Spanish pay-TV channels have started their HD transmissions: Cosmopolitan HD and Viajar HD.

Both are based at Prisa TV's satellite pay-TV operator Digital+ with the first mainly addressing women viewers and the other offering documentaries on travel.

The platform will also offers other documentary channels such as National Geographic HD and Canal+ HD although this one is not only based on documentaries. Right now the operator already offers more than twenty HDTV signals.

Given that satellite TV operator Astra is also interested in developing 3D TV next year it is hope that Digital+ will begin transmitting some 3DTV images in 2011.
