Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) has announced it will broadcast the NYE fireworks display from the Burj Khalifa on a live stream at its website, www.dmi.ae/newyear.

Viewers will be able to follow the spectacular as it happens, while TV channels across the globe will be able to download the signal for their own coverage of celebrations around the world.

Sara Ahmad Al Jarman, Dubai One Channel Manager said "Broadcasters across the globe will be able download a free transmission signal of the event provided by DMI.

“The fireworks display will last for three minutes commencing at 19:59:50GMT. The display will be preceded by a five-minute fire, water, and laser show on the Dubai Fountain, the world's tallest musical performing fountain, situated at the foot of the Burj Khalifa.

“Dubai's fireworks display, four hours after Hong Kong and three hours before Central Europe will neatly complement broadcasters' programmes carrying the New Year celebrations from the world capitals."

Many of the world's TV channels are expected to participate with Dubai Media Inc in broadcasting the event, across the world's major cities.
