AP video news service transmit China Central TV news

The Associated Press has achieved a huge coup after being chosen by the Chinese state broadcaster, China Central Television (CCTV), to syndicate its news material to broadcasters worldwide via the AP video news service.

From 1 January 2011, the CCTV News Content channel will begin broadcasts over APTN’s satellite network, the Global Video Wire (GVW) which is claimed to reach 90% of the world’s national and international broadcasters.

The all year round , four daily transmission service will encompass news, sports and entertainment footage from China and material will be free to all APTN customers, coming complete with shot lists.
