Verizon: connectivity will speed innovation

Verizon Chairman and CEO Ivan Seidenberg says hi-speed connectivity for CE devices will ‘accelerate innovation’ . In another gathering of heavy hitters here at CES he shared the stage with Time Warner CEO Jeff Benkes, Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha and Mike Cleron from Google.
He said Verizin had gone first with 4G LTE in order to signal the CE industry the market will develop quickly and it should speed up the innovation cycle. He predicted 4G LTE would be the biggest wave ‘to hit computing since the PC.’
Benkes said fast wireless and broadband would usher in a new ‘golden age’ of television ‘going on demand on every device.’
Google demonstated its Android 3.0 OS designed specially for Tablets. Features include a 3D-look UI and easy addition of widgets to multiple user screens.
