ESPN Extra Time boost for soccer fans
18 Mar 11 -

ESPN has launched ESPN Extra Time, a package of extended coverage available exclusively online after live football matches.

The sports broadcaster will offer additional post match analysis following live Premier League, FA Cup and Scottish Premier League matches on its and sites for the remainder of the season. Coverage will include extended match discussion and additional interviews. ESPN Extra Time will launch this week after live coverage of the Scottish Premier League clash between Kilmarnock and Motherwell March 19, followed by the Premier League match on March 20 between Everton and Fulham.

“Football fans use a variety of devices to engage with football, and ESPN’s mandate is to take an integrated approach to connecting them to the game on those devices. ESPN Extra Time is another example of how we will look to do just that,” said Tom Gleeson, vice-president, digital media, ESPN International.
