Cablecom rebrands as UPC, launches new packages

Swiss cable operator Cablecom will complete its rebranding as UPC Cablecom by April 4.

The Liberty Global-owned operator is supporting the rebranding exercise with a number of new product launches. The operator will simplify its bundles, giving customers a choice of six new bundles, in three-pack or two-pack deals. The operator is offering a new mid-range Smart Combi package for CHF79 (€62), including 50Mbps internet access, free telephony to the Swiss fixed network and DVR. UPC Cablecom is also simplifying its range of digital TV subscriptions and reducing it to three packages: “Mini” with additional HD channels, “Classic” with more than 120 TV channels and “Comfort”, with over 170 television channels.
