TRACE Sports HD arrives in Latin America

Sporting TV network TRACE Sports HD is to reach Latin America countries by June 2011.Launched in 2003 with Goldman Sachs funds, TRACE is an international entertainment brand with a group of music channels and now it has planned the launch of an international sports documentary channel.

The company's English and French channels, TRACE Urban HD and TRACE Tropical HD already reach an audience of 60 million people on 26 satellites in 150 countries.

TRACE Sports HD will not only be an English channel but it will also have a Spanish version for Latin America. Its target will be viewers between 18 and 49 years old.

More than 400 hours of original programming will be transmitted on the new channel. The owners' idea is for it to become one of the world's first sports documentary channels. In order to reach this the channel will sign distribution agreements in Europe, the US, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Africa, Middle-East and the Caribbean with their main cable TV operators, satellite, DSL operators and mobile TV operators.

The new channel hopes to reach more than 100 million subscribers in the next three years.
