International French news channel France 24 has launched a new Android app for access to both live and VOD content. The app is free and available in English and French.
The new application gives full access to all France 24 programmes live or in VoD and allows the viewers to request all of the broadcasts over the last two months.
In addition, an innovative mapping tool allows users to find news according to their location thanks to France 24ís automatic and geographical referencing of news articles.
Following the classification of the France 24 website, the articles and all the videos are also available by geographical zone (France, Africa, Middle-East, Europe, the Americas, Pacific Asia) or by category (Sports, Culture, Health, Economy and Technology, Ecology, News Reports, Weather).
Thanks to the The Observers tool, users can also directly interact with the editors of the channel by sending in their own photos and videos, therefore contributing to the latest news.
France 24 mobile applications have already been downloaded more than two million times on the Apple Store and via Mobiclip
