Ono improves EBITDA

Leading Spanish cable operator Ono has saw its EBITDA grow by 1.9% meaning €179 million for Q1 this year.
This figure represented a 1.9% increase compared to the same period last year attributed to the company by efficiency in business management. The operator also improved the EBITDA margin by 2% passing to 49.1% at the end of this period. Net profit was €9 million.
Ono experienced a big commercial push in this period including a boost in pay-TV services. By 31 March, 83% of the operator's clients had two or more services contracted and this trend is growing since the RGU's ratio per client grew 2.2x in Q4 last year to 2.23x in Q1 this year. In pay-TV the company added 5,000 new clients, 0.5% more than in the previous quarter.
