Spanish animation is doing well in international markets, especially in Latin America where the Spanish producer and distributor Imira Entertainment, who focuses on children’s and youngsters’ programmes, has signed agreements with several broadcasters in Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador. In Brazil the company sold pre-school TV series such as 'Vitaminix (104x2)' and ‘Saari (39x3)'. At the same time the Brazilian in-the-clear TV Cultura bought a fiction TV series and the Argentinean Canal 7 bought some animation series. Finally in Ecuador Imira sold three TV series to the private network RTV. Commented Christophe Goldberger Distribution and Marketing Director at Imira Entertainment: “We are focused in establishing relations with Latin America during several years and these agreements show how this region has become a key market for us.”
