The war torn country of Afghanistan is to receive help from India in the reconstruction and development of its broadcast network.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed today, between India’s Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni and Afghanistan’s Minister for Information & Culture Sayeed Makhdoom Raheem, according to the Press Trust of India.

The MoU will also result in using Indian expertise in fashioning Afghanistan’s policies in the areas of broadcasting and institutional development, as well as press functioning and content management.
