The Belarusian incumbent telco Beltelecom has completed the upgrade of its IPTV service TV ZALA, extending support into regional centres.

As a result, according to Telegeography, it is now able to offer such additional services as VOD, time shifting and other interactive features through the telco’s regional networks.

Beltelecom launched its IPTV service in 2008 and rebranded it ZALA the following year. It currently has 290,000 subscribers, over 20,000 of who are based in the capital, Minsk.

Earlier this month Beltelecom launched a new basic triple play package known as Universal.
