The end of several months of a pitiless war of chiefs at AEF is over: Christine Ockrent, the delegate MD has finally left the leading French-speaking TV house that runs France 24, RFI and TV5Monde.

Yet according to Le Figaro website, and contrary to speculation, Ockrent asserted that she did not resign but just wanted to be free from the holding to better defend herself about allegations issued by President Alain de Pouzilhac.

In the last few months, Ockrent has been embroiled into a distressing spy affair that took place within AEF, involving her closest collaborators. Police had been led to investigate several times at Audiovisuel Extérieur de la France and France 24, where teams have been disturbed by proceedings.

The constant rivalry between the wife of former minister of Foreign Affairs Bernard Kouchner, and Alain de Pouzilhac, has much affected the way AEF and France 24 has been run.
