This marks an increase of 78%, or 11 million more videos viewed than in May 2010. also claims a record 12.8 million visits in May 2011 against 9.8 million in May 2010, an increase of 30%.

The broadcaster said the success of its website is due to the richness of its video content, including live streaming of flagship programming such as Le Grand Journal and Zapping, the best moments of Champions League football, exclusive previews and trailers of upcoming programmes and web documentaries such as La Machine a Expulser.

Live coverage from the Cannes Film Festival also generated more than two million views.

In addition, Canal+ has launched, a portal dedicated to urban youth culture with interviews and programming such as Akhenaton et Faf Larage.
