German public broadcaster ZDF has commenced the filming of its first original production in 3D on 7 June 2011. The documentary "Höhenrausch - Unterwegs im steilen Fels" ("high-altitude euphoria - a tour across the steep rock") accompanies the sports climbers Alexander and Thomas Huber at an extremley steep route in the Tyrol Alps.
The brothers, who have gained fame in the climber community in the past 10 years as "Huber Buam" ("Huber boys"), chose as a personal challenge a tour at the stone plate in the region of the Loferer Alm which they so far haven't managed to cross without falling.
ZDF follows the preparations and course of the project. In October the Mainz-based broadcaster will show the documentary on the internet in 3D and on television in conventional format.
