French connected home technologies and solutions provider Netgem has announced an extension of the three-year partnership it has with SFR in France.

Netgem is aiming to consolidate its business in its core domestic market and the new contract—which will end in June 2014— covers hardware and maintenance but will place greater weight on software and services. The deal will be put into place before the current one ends.

Netgem’s set-top-box revenue, starting this quarter, will then be lower than those set out in the previous contract. However, “SFR’s projected contributions to Netgem’s gross margins for the year will be higher,” Netgem assured it customers in a statement.

The announcement follows the news earlier this week that the company is partnering with Sezmi, in line with its strategy to expand its business on the international stage.
