The Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is working to improve TV broadcasting in the front line area. Ministry spokesman Mushviq Amirov said a new TV station was being built to broadcast the dedicated sports and culture channels, Idman Azerbaijan and Madaniyyat TV, in Agdam, Barda and Tartar districts of lowland Karabakh.
“The new TV station will enable broadcasting of these TV channels in these three districts as well as in the northern part of Azerbaijan’s historical Nagorno-Karabakh region,” Mr Amirov said. He said the new TV station would be part of the plan to restore Azerbaijani communications in Karabakh and the surrounding districts when they are freed from Armenian occupation.
