Cloud-based software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform provider ThirdPresence has announced a co-operation with Finlandís Sanoma Media to deliver catch-up TV to mobile devices, specifically the Apple iPhone and iPad.

Sanoma Media boats a potential audience of more than 290 million people in 12 European countries. As part of the deal with ThirdPresence, Sanoma Media's commercial TV broadcaster Nelonen has chosen the SaaS video firm to deliver the TV catch-up service to the iPad. provides access to programming from the broadcaster's TV channels in Finland, as well as video material related to programs and news. The free iPad service offers access to content such Four Weddings, Come Dine with Me, MasterChef and Wipeout.

The service is ad-funded and plays in-stream pre-roll and mid-roll ads from the broadcaster's existing ad serving platform, using ThirdPresence's video player technology. . ThirdPresence also offers a potential content monetisation stream by advertising, subscription or pay-per-view, with detailed tracking of content usage
