Virgin Media has unveiled its first advertising campaign for its TiVo service, positioning the connected TV and PVR device as the best way to watch television.

The multi-million pound campaign is fronted by actor Marc Warren, the star of Hustle and Mad Dogs. Warren will feature in three 30-second spots that will demonstrate how the TiVo service provides a simple solution to the complex choices facing the consumer. It will be backed up by TV, print and digital media.

Nigel Gilbert, chief marketing officer, Virgin Media, said: “We know the features and functions our customers have already fallen in love with and are making the most of a fully integrated campaign to cut through the noise and highlight these stand-out attributes. We’re inviting people to take a look at our brilliant new service and interact with TiVo’s iconic ‘thumbs up’ and ‘thumbs down’ buttons online to discover even more.”

The advertisement was created by DDB UK.

TiVo made its debut to existing Virgin customers in December and was subsequently released to new subscribers.
