French horse racing channel Equidia is to race out of the traps on 13 September 2011 with twin channels Equidia Life and Equidia Live.
With a budget in the region of €32 million, both channels replace the current offer with Equidia Live dedicated to live horse races, bets and forecasts.
Equidia Life will target all those who live their professional, personal and family life with horses. Both will be available in the basic offers of all satellite TV, cable TV, cable and IPTV operators.
Equidia Live has also been launched in Belgium on early June and will be broadcast in Switzerland too.
Enriched with catch-up TV service EquidiaWatch, VOD platform EquidiaVideo, website Equidia.fr and present on social networks, Equidia’s contents are now available 24/24 on all platforms and digital devices.
From autumn, Equidia will also be active on the licensing and merchandising market.
“With two channels, we strengthen the visibility of a sector that employs 75,000 people and gathers 2 million people practising horse riding and 7 million gamblers,” commented Equidia MD Eric Brion
