Spain's Competition National Commission (CNC) has finalised its report fining Grupo Planenta's Antena 3, Unidad Editorial's Veo's 7 and ABC's Disney Channel for breaking commercialisation laws.
CNC has also decided to close another report against Spanish media groups Grupo Vocento and Grupo Godó for the same reason regarding commercialising advertising.
Antena 3 Advertising, Antena 3's advertising company, used to commercialise the advertising TV spaces of all the company’s channels, that is Antena 3, Neox and Nova. At the same time it used to sell out the advertising spaces on Disney Channel which broadcasts one of Net TV's frequencies, belonging to the Vocento group and to Unidad Editorial's Veo 7.
According to CNC these agreements can imply possible restrictive actions of competitors banned by law of 2007. But having broken these agreements, the broadcasters have removed the possibility of the fact that Antena 3 Advertising manages the advertising and at the same time agrees the commercial prices of Disney and Veo.
