Canal+’s subs Canal+ Sport and TF1 affiliate TV Breizh are dominating theme channels broadcast on satellite, cable and IPTV.
According to latest Mediamétrie survey Mediamat'Thématik, monitored from January to June 2011, both channels are sharing a 0.8% audience share. For the first time, the survey also measures the audience of delayed broadcast programming.
In a top ten led by full-programming and fiction channels, Disney Channel comes into third place with a 0.7% audience share, equal with women’s channel Teva (M6), RTL 9 (AB) and Paris Première (M6). Disney Channel’s performance is linked to its arrival in the basic offer of all platforms. 13ème Rue Universal follows with 0.6 %, equal to Eurosport and Canal+ Family.
Among the 16.6 million households receiving a complementary pay-TV offer (not DTT only), viewing time amounts to 3 hours and 39 minutes daily per individual. This is 9 minutes less compared with global TV households.
