Thanks to an agreement it has struck between Samsung and Telefˇnica's Vivo, Ibope, the Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion and Statistics, will carry out an investigation to measure the Brazilian ISDB-T OneSeg mobile TV market.
The three main factors to be taken into account will include the most popular programs, the minute by minute and the percentage of people using mobile TV sets.
In this respect Sao Pa˘lo will be the first place in which the study will be carried out using 2,000 devices, afterwards there will be Rio de Janeiro and lastly the whole country. In the second half of this year there will be the first tests of the equipment and the experts hope that by 2012 the information required will be available to be distributed.
Samsung will also set up in its factory a measurement facility which starts off only when the user of the ISDB-T user accepts to become part of the investigation.
